Hair Loss Treatment
Hair loss has many causes, and the right treatment starts with finding yours: genetic, after an illness, childbirth or stress, vitamin or iron deficiency, thyroid problems, or alopecia areata.
When do you need it?
- Shedding more hair than usual for over two months
- Thinning at the front of the head or on the scalp
- Bald patches or circular patches with no hair (alopecia areata)
- Hair loss after COVID, childbirth or a strict diet
How does the treatment work?
- Consultation with a detailed scalp examination, and lab tests if needed
- Topical or oral treatment depending on the cause
- PRP, hair mesotherapy or exosomes, possibly combined with scalp microneedling (Dermapen)
- The protocol is usually 3–4 monthly sessions, followed by maintenance sessions every 4–6 months
When will I see results?
Shedding usually decreases within 1–2 months, and improved density becomes visible after 3–6 months of consistent treatment.
Important tips
- Avoid painkillers such as ibuprofen and aspirin for 3 days before and after PRP — use paracetamol if needed
- Don't wash your hair for 24 hours after a PRP session
- Sticking to your appointments is what makes the difference in results
Frequently asked questions
Does PRP work for everyone?
It works best for mild to moderate genetic hair loss and diffuse shedding. Long-standing complete baldness needs a different solution.
Will the regrown hair fall out again?
If the cause is genetic, treatment needs to be ongoing — we'll set up a follow-up plan to maintain your results.
Do I need lab tests?
Not always — it's decided during the consultation based on the type of hair loss.
